East St. Louis, IL. Riots......

I tell you what, I had a conversation with a dear friend of mine and i didn't know that he and his family are direct decedents of the ESt.L riots of 1917. He told me the story of how his grandmother had to build a raft from 2x4's to cross the Mississippi River to escape the slaughter of not only his family but the entire black population in the city. This is a story that should always be remembered. Google East St. Louis riots of 1917........

God is good

My son had his first baseball game of the season today his team came from behind and won in he last inning. It wasn't the hype of the game, just watching the children play!! Thank you son for giving dad some love.......Congrats to you and your team.........

Today Kevetta Davis would have been 20 yrs old. Tragically she along with my daughter Yasmin Summayyah were killed in an auto accident. Both girls are truly missed and were much loved. Today is dedicated to you Kevetta!! That's Kevetta on the right along with Yas on the left.
